BMC 18.48.250 through 18.48.270 may be referred to as the air navigation hazards regulations or the airport height restrictions. It is the purpose of these sections to promote the safety of aircraft using public airports for landing and departures by providing a mechanism whereby the city’s regulation of land use within the vicinity of a public airport may complement the height restrictions established by the Federal Aviation Administration.
