Each customer shall give the department written notice of their intention to discontinue water service at least two (2) days prior to the date they wish water service discontinued, and shall specify the date service is to be discontinued; otherwise, the customer will be responsible for all water supplied to the premises until the department receives notice of such discontinuance. Upon discontinuance of water service, a bill shall be rendered and such bill shall be payable immediately. In no case will the bill be less than the monthly minimum specified in the current water rate schedule for the class or classes of water service theretofore furnished.
