An employee who plans to take leave shall notify the city in advance of the leave as provided for in this chapter. If an employee will be absent from work for any reason and has not previously notified the city in accordance with the notification provisions of this chapter, the employee shall notify the city manager at least ten (10) minutes prior to the start of the employee’s shift.
