A city dog license shall be required for all dogs six (6) months of age or older. The license shall expire on December thirty-first (31st) of each year for the non-computer-chip license. The implanted computer chip license shall be valid for the life of the dog. A valid rabies immunization certificate shall be required before the dog license will be issued.
